Hello Guys, Awhile back someone local was asking about Darchy. Well we just had huim out for a presentation on the legend. This was a join meeting with our good friends at the Lehigh Valley chapter of Safari Club International. I am the past pres. of the Del Val chapter. Anyway Darchy put on a wonderful show and was very informative. In my "NEVER" to be hunble opinion he is 1 of the top 3 or for builders in the country(world ?) today. Easier to talk to than David Miller, and more experience than Patrick Holehan. These are guys who know what a good rifle is. not a Mdl.700 that shots 3 shots into 1/8". Who cares if it doesn't feed, the bolt handle breaks off, the thing ways 13lbs., doesn't extract, etc........Function is always first, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS......Darcy,s Legend may possibly be the finest working/hunting/using rifle available today. I am bias for sure, but tough shit, they get the job done. As I build my own rifles I do not own a Legend, But i am considering selling a few things to finace 1. I can with in reason have/ build any configuration of firearm i want and if i was smart (RARELY THE CASE) I would sell all my "stuff" and get a Legend in .300 something. feel free to contact me. Don't know about the others but the 458 Winchester Model 70 Classic that Patrick Holehan built for me was kind of a joke. The glass bedding job was showing up all over around the edges of the action. The rear adjustable sight was the cheesier sight I have ever seen. The rifle would not feed reliably and the bottom metal assembly did not fit correctly. I had to eventually send it to Dennis Olson to have everything corrected except for the glass bedding job. The feeding was a night and day difference after Dennis put his magic into it and Dennis charged me only $25 for the feeding work. I did not know any better at the time and thought that Patrick was da man for the job after reading an article written by his buddy in one of the magazines. Oh well live and learn I guess. Thanks.

Hey Ming, I don't know what to say. I have handled an few year old m-98 Holehan classic gun and it is truly wonderful. Having been in on a spats on line before I sure as hell am not going to doubt you. There is no excuse for shipping a stopping rifle that will not feed. This is a liabilty of huge proportions, what was he thinking, what if you get rolled by a buff???? Is he willing to support your family and business????? When we built a stopper, accuracy is the last concern. To be honest accuracy is never a "concern" The hunter who can prove the difference in a 1/4" gun and a 1 1/2" in the field is none exsistent. BUT it is pretty damn easy to tell when a gun goes bang, bang and one that goes bang, ugh!!!!!!!! Sorry, I caught myself. Sorry for the tirade. Thanks, Ed
