Has anyone had a rifle nickel plated ? What precautions had to be taken before plating.....how was the barrel plugged, was it attached to the action or done separately ?
Any info would be appreciated !!

Yes; electroless nickel.. It seems easy to apply. Not like the old plating process, electroless is not really a plating. It bonds with the steel and is very thin, like .0002 or so. But ask your plater; I use Craftguard.
