Color case harding

I've got a couple of Mauser actions I'm working on to build into a couple of customs. I'm wondering about color case harding to accent some of the metal. Are there any photos out there that would show some of the details. Like scope bases and rings, bolt release levers, bolt shrouds, bottom metal, etc. Is this a good or bad idea to case harden parts of the Mauser action?

The only easy day is yesterday!

I've got a couple with the accent pieces done. One thing you need to keep in mind is case color hardening isn't as tough as a good blueing job. IMO it sure is pretty though.

BRNO 21H the rings, triggerguard and barrel washer are done. The rings are Warnes and for some reason they didn't take too well the CCH.

Here is a 1909 with just the rings done.
