I know this has been covered before but is it possible to blue a stainless action? I want to put a c/m barrel on a s/s action. Any suggestions on making it look good.

I recently had an older Sako 222, that was imported bt Marlin done. Dave Sams Lititz Pa did the work, he used a teflon process, the rifle came out great. He can be contacted at 717-626-0021 for more details, cost about $ 180.00. He does very good work.

Brownells sells salts for bluing stainless. Someone must be using them.
Try asking Brownells.
Good luck!

orland,

Best place I've seen is a company called Craftguard in Waterloo Iowa. They can do a variety of finishes and prices, turn around time etc are very reasonable. See their Web site at:
Craftguard Metal Finishing

I've used them and have had friends also have guns blued with excellent results.
Good luck

Paul

Thanks for the replies.

Will you be able to tell the barrel and action are different metals?
