Stupid question. Especially since I've done one before. But, all my stuff is packed away so I can't check it directly.

Will a Montana 99 short action fit into an HS Precision Model 70 SA stock?

I put a standard length action into a Winchester Featherweight stock, and I recall there was very little fitting to it. But, it was a wood stock, not the aluminum bedding block one.

I have the chance to buy a stock cheap, and have a new in the box Montana 99 action somewhere. Would like to know that it worked before I bought it.
