Gentlemen,
Has anyone heard anything about a production date for Matt William's Obendorf Style Trigger Guard for the Model 70 Classic?

Regards, Matt Garrett.

Matt,

You are making some very nice trigger guards for the Model 70 and 700 are there any plans for producing M 98 bottom metal?

The 98 bottom metal will be in the works, but it's going to be falling behind our other projects.

The new One-Piece assembly will drop into the current classics, as they will be moving towards Winchester's custom shop as well.

With this new forging, we will be making a true drop-in for the Remington 700's short and long-actions. No more inletting into factory stocks or need for ADL magazine boxes.

They'll be available in steel, stainless, and we're also planning on Titanium.

Matt,

Thanks for the info!

If I could ask a follow-up or two, please.

1. Will the new guard be dimensionally identical to the current one-piece assemblies?

2. Will the new guard be made in the same manner as the current assy? That is to say, will it consist of two separate pieces (forgings?) that are joined together to form the assembly?

Thanks!!

It will drop into the current inletting footprint, but it will be a true one-piece forging, not two forgings joined together.
