Gents:

I saw today Weiland has issued a 2nd edition of his Dangerous Game Rifles book from a couple of years ago. I thumbed through it today and it was mainly a redo of the first book with a few new items and a few new pics.

If you have the first one I wouldn't bother buying the new edition.

I'm guessing he heavily edited the sections on California Rigbys.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

I also expect there is info added about the new London Rigby. Nothing more than an assumption on my part, however I believe TW is financially connected to the London company. Could be wrong but it sure appears that he is trying to promote them.

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!!
