Having hung out at Mashburns back in the late 60's and the 70's, I finally found a 244 Mashburn improved a few years ago. The gent I purchased it from had a Mashburn provided datasheet on loads for some of the Mashburn wildcats. The Super Magnums(300,375 and 7mm), 270 Magnum, 25-06 Mashburn, 244 Mashburn improved and the 243 Mashburn improved. The 244 was built in the early or middle 50's - not sure if the datasheet is from the same time, but the address was right for that time frame. I have scanned the sheets and can e:mail them to someone to post if there is a desire. James

Thanks for posting about Mashburn loads. I always had the hots for the 7 MM Mashburn, the one Warren Page wrote about so much back in the 1950's. I had a 7 MM Ackley Mag built in 1957 by PO Ackley. I would have gotten the Mashburn chambering, but Ackley did the build, so I went with his version. Memories...Grin Don

I have a 218 Mashburn Bee and I am considering building a 244 Mashburn Improved. Does anybody know if they are refering to IMR or Hogdon powder? Or something else?

thats really cool to see some old mashburn records. but my 7mm mashburn really shines with IMR 7828. That old caliber with todays powder and bullets is pretty hard to beat. Thanks for the post!

Most likely the powders are IMR series as that was the predominant powder sold by them when I was trading there in the late 60's and 70's and I believe all the numbers used on the sheets were available in IMR. James
