My wife is a high school and college guidance counselor and has a student who would like a career as a gunsmith.

If you are a gunsmith, or know a gunsmith, she would really appreciate it if she could put her student in touch with the gunsmith (via email) to chat about the job, the route the person took to becoming a gunsmith (college/apprenticeship/etc).

If she will contact me I can give advise on Gunsmithing as a career. TSJC gunsmith class of 1963, taught 1993-94 stockmaking and conversions, and worked as a fulltime gunsmith for about 40 yrs. We had students from all over the world while I was there.
One of the instructor was Leonard Bull from Africa and now retired in Trinidad, Co. A student from South Africa with 4 diffenet languages couldn't get a Green card to stay in the US after he finished school, so is now with a large gun company in New Zealand.
