I can't find one of these that cuts a hole with a square edge, they are all tapered for screws and such. I need one with a 1/4 in pilot. Does anybody have a good online source for such things?

A 7/16" counterbore is only .004" larger.
For a one time use cheap o tool try ebay.
Otherwise most any online cutting tool distributor will have them.
McMaster-Carr is not the cheapest place around but they have everything.

I think if you asked for the right tool you might get the proper response from a machine tool site like MSC or Enco.

What you are asking for is a counter Bore Not a counter sink. A counter sink is as you have found only for flat head screws with either an 82' or a 90" angle. A counter bore is for cutting a flat bottom hole. The can be piloted or on non piloted.

7/16" end mill would work too but only if you have a mill.

As Kerry mentioned you are needing a counterbore.

Here is a piloted one on ebay for $20 ish. You may need to make up a pilot for it though.

One thing I noticed looking for metric ones is they do not seem to make a standard 11 mm one, they all seem to be either 10mm or 12mm if that makes a difference to you.

for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside
