Just wondering if you all have any good sources to buy Mauser actions? I've heard the best is the VZ24 so preferrably that one.

Pawn Shops aren't very good down here. There is a gun show next week I'll try to make it to, but other than that I don't know where to look online besides GunsAmerica, AuctionArms, & GonBroker...

Also -- are there any new so-called copycat actions of the VZ24 that are any good.

The Persian 98/29 is basically the same thing as a VZ-24. Usually they're in better condition.

depends what your looking for, there are mausers and then there mausers, are you looking for a ex military M 98 or one built by one of the custom gun makers

Well I know the vz24 doesn't have to be heat treated. Does the Persian?

M 98 -- A military one -- unless the custom ones are as good, and priced similarly
