Just wondering what everone is using for lube on their bolts. The gun is SS, looking for something that won't cause any problems in cold weather. Thanks.

I use a synthetic grease called Super Lube. It's made by Loc-tite. It's clear, doesn't change viscosity at normal hunting temps (too cold to too hot) and doesn't have much odor. A little goes a long way. Works for me.

/06,

I use moly grease or synthetic oil. I think practically any lube will do on the lugs provided operating temperature range suits you, and even that is not really critical on a surface that small. Inside the bolt it matters, though. On a really cold hunt I would go with synthetic oil or dry lube, degreasing first.
