.300 WSM conversion to .375 or .416
I'm thinking of re-barreling a Win Model 70 with CRF to either .375 or .416 Any suggestions or advice? I would think I can expand the case neck on the .300 WSM Brass to either .375 or .416 and build off load data from the Ruger Compact Magnums? The Bolt Face will be OK as I will use the .300 WSM Brass. Any thoughts on this?

One member of these forums has been shooting a M-70 clone (stainless M99 MRC) in .416 WSM for 4 years that I know of now. It is a splendid shooting rifle, and has all the power one could want for North American game unless and until Mastedons come back.

He designed his own wide-flat-nosed 430 grain cast bullet (Montana Mould), and I don't think he could be happier than the way it all worked out.

I just about had my 9.3 WSM complete when I acquired a severe health problem. It is a pretty good cartridge too, so I'd say things in that area are quite feasible/practical. Go for it, if it interests you.

My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still.
