I have a Remington Nylon 66, bought it used maybe 40 yrs ago. Has a 4" crack in the stock, along the top seam at the comb. Would crazy/super glue be compatable with this nylon type stock ?
Best 22 fun gun I ever had, shot up hunderds of 22 bricks with it and still comes up ticking.
Thanks for any help.

Call Remington. They had a fairly large supply of stocks of these great little rifles. I've had one since '63.

I was looking for a 66 stock about 2 years ago, and could not find one. Brownell's had them listed, but had zero on hand.
Remington may have them, but I don't know??
I think the supply of new 66 stocks may be at an end.
But, I would do an epoxy fix on the stock you have now.

check the epoxy's cause there are several kinds. find one that listed plastic as a use. Otherwise while i don't know, but it might be very plausible to use a plastic weld on it

West,
tried Rem,N/G the kid refered me to Boyds for a custom stock. When I described the Nylon stock, he had no idea. Even suggested a custom stock maker but I told him it was a molded nylon one piece with handguard he had no clue.

I seem to remember a parts ad in Shotgun News maybe 10yrs ago advertising Nylon 66 stocks and parts- somewhere in Kansas maybe?? Sound Familar
Thanks men for the help.

Thanks... I feared that.

These are the folks who made it. You might contact them to see if they have any recommendations for some type of epoxy that will bond the material without making it brittle.

My friend has one or two nylon 66's in his shop that have seen better days; missing sights etc, but the stocks were intact for the most part. I am pretty sure one was an "Apache Black" (black and chrome)and the other was an "Apache" but had a greenish brown stock and rusty blue metal. I am not sure if it was a mixmaster or a valid version.
