Is anyone making a big singleshot action on the style of the winchester highwall or stevens 44 1/2 that could be used for a large bore rifle. Preferably a top quality with double set triggers. I like the style of the winchester but have been told it is not really suited for larger than 45 caliber. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I believe Dakota makes a single shot action similar to what you are looking for.- Sheister

Meecham tool and die makes one that is a highwall copy and has double set triggers. It runs around $1200 I believe. I dont have an email address for them but you can probably find something on search.

Ballard is making single shots in Cody Wyoming also.
