I have a TC Icon in their 30 TC chambering. After shooting it a good bit, I've made the (perhaps rather obvious) determination, that there is not enough difference between it and the good ole 308 Win to spit at. Therfore I am wanting to have the barrel rechambered to 308. I am looking for info as to what is involved to do this, and what kind of costs one should anticipate. Thanks in advance.

The 30TC has less body taper than the 308. So best guess is a full rebarrel. A 308AI would clean it up I would think. However you go you are spending maybe a bunch of $$$ for as you say basically no difference in performance. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

Thanks Ramrod, that sucks, but there you have it. Maybe just keep loading and shooting that rig as is, it is pretty damn accurate, and one set of dies dedicated to it.....just like the comfort of knowing there is always some 308 ammo around, where as with 30 TC, not so much...
