fla3006Re: Ottmar M-70 On Gunbroker
I don't care for the barrel either. If it goes cheap enough, would definitely be worth rebarreling. Already a magnum, maybe a 338 or 375?

IdaredNice rifle but to bad the original barrel was rebored, or heaven forbid, rechambered.

It would almost have had to be more desireable than 358 Norma.

Jim_DubellIf this is one of the three at the Spokane show last weekend he was looking for $3000 and up. All three were basically Ottmar stocks, since the metalwork was almost factory. The thing is...You could not get one of Mr. Ottmars stocks for $3000 and you certainly can't now that he has passed away. These are going to be the only ones available....ever...the ones that people sell for some reason or other. I was told the three in Spokane were from a widow in Colville Wa.

MKane160IIRC, Cabela's has 2 Ottmar rifles, a 7 mag and a .25-06. Both were beautiful and $4-5K. They looked like they were worth every penny...

Gringo Cazadorbe interestng to see what it goes for, wouldnt take much to rebarrel
I bet a dollar to a donut the ole guns a shooter punched or not. I also bet teh ole boy that set the min bid at 750 is going to want a heck of a lot more than that, just my guess.
I don't have a clue whats its worth, other than what you can get for it.
