| All right guys, I have now communicated with Mr. French. He is a very nice guy, a member of FEGA, and the other pictures of his work show somebody that is very good at engraving. What happened with this one was what happens sometimes with clients, the person WANTED this done, and although he didn't want the job he quoted it, a high quote. The client was willing to pay for the job though so he did it, and didn't enjoy it. He will not take on another job like this in the future he told me.
I think that only guys who don't need the money get the luxury of turning away clients. why can't all clients be as cool as us?! :-)

| very surprising, I went to his website, French's that is, and he is a member of FEGA and the stuff on his site looks better than this. I am considering how to word an e-mail to him suggesting that this guy is slandering him, because I can't see somebody that is a true craftsman even wanting to take on this kind of job. I know there are things that if I asked my gunsmith to do them for me he would send me elsewhere without batting an eye.
