Need to replace pin .. action has a lot of upgrades (incl the newly-offered shroud from Brownells) so I thought why not go for faster locktime. Anyone know of a supplier of a light pin for a mauser 93? Anyone tried to make a pin from al with steel tip?

If I was going to make one, I think I would make it out of titanium rather than steel. But then, titanium might not be heavy enough ?

If you do that you may need a heavier firing pin spring.

I put mine in the mill and used a .125 ball end carbide to put a groove down both of the flats. Obviously not as good as a Ti or aluminuminum version, but fit is as good as factory. K
