Hi, I picked up my new (new to me anyways, its twice my age) Winchester 54. It's in nice shape and the stainless barrel has a PERFECT bore. I shot it last night and got 2"-2.5" groups with the buckhorn and bead. Problem ...... It has a buehler safety on it, with only two positions, fire and safe with bolt locked. Any of you gunsmith types have an original safety kicking around that had been swapped out for a buehler ? If not, is there any way the Buheler can be modified to work in three positions like the original ? Any info or leads on finding a safety lever greatly appreciated.

I think my 54 has the original safety and it is only a two position. Flag up for safe and down to fire. Frank

How many do you want. I have 6 of the old stlye safety locks. And 3 of the new stlye safety locks. Yes Winchester called them an safety lock, part number 6354 These are used original take off parts, bluing varys depending on wear. Jim Wisner jwisner@quik.com
