What do you think of this? AuctionArms It really doesn't look engraved more stamped or something. Seems pretty high to me.

I saw ones like these or similar a few years ago. I think they are roll pressed engraved. Is it just me or is that a lot for this metal?

these actions are on Auction Arms and Gun Broker. Some are receiver only but the photos show the bolt in them too. I wonder who makes these? looks as if he has parts or has parted out a few of these actions.

I asked him who made the actions and he said they were made in Spain.

That is a Santa Barbara action. Century Arms just dug some up somewhere and is/was selling the complete action as shown for $299.

yes, Santa Barabara nad a couple of years ago the ones with out "engraving" on the floor plate went for $149.

And no, they are not magnum actions. The magnums are standard M98's with magnum bolt faces. THey have standard magboxes too, so they will only fit .300WM cartridges, and then the geometry is all whacked out for the cartridges.

The engraving on the triggerguard are not stamped or rolled. Just poorly designed and executed. thumbdown

Santa Barbara actions at one time were considered brittle.

Centerfire Systems Inc. has an ad on their web site for Mauser Commercial Actions w/o trigger guard for $119.97.
In the white , D&T, turned down bolt handle, no stripper clip or bolt safety, complete bolt and bolt release. Mfg. by La Coruna, Spain.
Look like the old Golden State Arms/Santa Barbara/Centurion actions. Fajen Stocks made a custom rifle from the old Santa Barbara action way back when.
