LH 240 Weatherby Mag to a 375 Ruger???

Hi

Another dumb question,can a 240 Weatherby Mag be converted to a 375 Ruger and if so what would need to be done?

Barrel, open bolt face and extractor work(.473" vs .532"), maybe lengthen magazine (3.062" vs 3.315) and open up action, feed rails maybe.

good reply John.....or just trade it for a LH that is alrady a magnum and rebarrel it if you want a Weatherby.....but trading it is likely the least expensive.

Suffering the same affliction, I doubt trading for a left-handed .375 Ruger is even an option.

I think that they mean for the OP to trade the 240 W for another left handed Weatherby that already has a magnum bolt face. That way it's just a barrel swap to change to 375 Ruger.

The 240 W is a belted magnum??

Yes the 240 is a belted magnum however the case head dia is the same as the 06 .472. The bolt would need to be opened to handle the larger dia 375 Ruger case of .532.
