Got one in the shop the other day and need to D&T for scope bases. Have heard they are $hit, any comments? Anyone got a source for a different receiver?

Look at the flat behind the recoil lug and you'll see the mold parting line. They're nothing but cast iron and well known as camoflaged hand grenades. Sometimes you see them marked Golden State Arms, too.

I thought I'd just add to this thread that my father's Golden State Arms .303 Brit on an Enfield copy says "19.5 tons proof" on the barrel.

Kind of scary, a whole 39,000 psi. for a proof.
