Yugo bottom metal
Does anyone do a hinged floorplate for the intermediate Mauser or how about converting one to hinged and a lever?

I'm thinking of a 358 Win or 376 Steyr carbine?

thanks

It wouldn't be too awfully hard to modify a 1909 Argentine to fit.

rich,
i don't know anyone who makes them, but I do have a standing request for matt williams to make the m48, mexican 98 and smallring pattern, as they line up, and with a 2 piece box design, can be made to fit.

Both ideas sound good but I'm the lazy type :-)
I'd be in for one from Williams.

You'll need a welding machine to cut and relocate the front action screw hole.

You might do better to look in Jim Carmichael's Do-It-Yourself Gunsmithing and Roy Dunlap's Gunsmithing for ideas on how to hinge the existing bottom metal.

Either way is a good Saturday afternoon project.

Funny you should say that.. I have the DIY Gunsmithing, 1977 edition, which has a good write up on doing that. THe newer Gunsmithing book don't have this much detail.
