Does a Ruger Hawkeye barrel fit on M77 Tang Safety action?

I have used Ruger 77 barrels both ways tang safety to Mk11 and other way with no problem my 375 Ruger is new takeoff stainless on older tang safety shoots great. Lynn

Ditto with Lynn, I put a SS .375Ruger Hawkeye barrel on a tang safety receiver with ZERO modification - headspaced to within .002", stampings lined up, and barrel shot ~1.5moa like it did on the Hawkeye action.

Of course, this is a sample of one but the threads are the same so it's probably just a matter of where the tolerances add or subtract.

You got lucky; it is true that they will fit well, do not expect the markings to line up; Ruger barrels are not timed. But I put them on and they work without issue. As stated.
