Can anyone provide info on a competent gunsmith who can rebarrel/rechamber a Remington Sendero magnum action to a .257 STW? I looked at Rifles Inc. but they only build whole guns. Any help would be appreciated.

You are not too far from Shilen in Ennis, TX, their web site is www.shilen.com

I do a considerable amount of rebarreling however my back log is approximately 4 to 6 months right now.

There are also some good gunsmiths in the Dallas area, let me know if you want some names and addresses.

Mike Bryant of www.bryantcustom.com (in Wheeler TX) does excellent work, benchrest standards. Although he does not have the reamer for 257stw, you can rent one from Buck Steele reamer rentals for $29 dollars for 3 days or $39 for 2 weeks. He does have a 6.5stw reamer. You would have to coorninate with him about how and when to get the reamer because he has about a 3 month wait.
