A client came in to the shop the other day with one of these that would not eject. After looking at the owners manual I discovered his ejector was missing; not too hard an assumption seeing as how it would not eject. The question is, how does one replace it. I looked at the ejector shroud and tried to loosen the two allen set screws but they are damn tight. Also, where are parts available for this? Any help? Jim

Jim, I assume you are talking about a Super Black Eagle. I never work on one of those without cussing a blue streak. Those 2 set screws have some kind of lock-tite on them. I use a small butane torch to apply heat while applying torque to the wrench. While I'm doing this I ask myself why, if lock tite is necessary, do they use those little watch screws to hold it together. I think it takes a .050 hex wrench. I understand not using lug nuts but they go a little overboard the other way. Brownell's has a parts listing in the back of their Factory Parts section of their catalog. The ejector is about $18-20. More fun then that is the little coil spring behind it. Nothing special, it looks like a ball point pen spring. Benelli wants $13 for it.

The last time I used heat on aluminum in a similar circumstance the threads came out. Don't get it too hot. Sometimes you can impact the screw while turning and that works also assuming you can reach it. I have a hex screwdriver bit, obviously its difficult to impact a allen wrench.Good luck.
