Bill/OregonSource for buttstock for Remington Model 81?
I've been googling and not finding a whole lot. Macon Gunstocks makes one, but I have heard some negative reviews of the outfit. Anyone know of a source?

dpcdGunstocks inc makes them; don't know anything about the firm though.
Bob's Gun Shop has them too.

sliversI just finished fitting a Butt Stock on a Franchi 48AL that came from Gunstocks,Inc. I had to file the machine inletting off and go from there. His pattern must need work....

Mark TaylorI have had some Gunstocks inc wood sent my way. They require more than a little extra work. Usually quite chunky, which is ok, but fitting can be tedious.

dpcdThese things are so simple that I would just take a blank and chop away everything that doesn't look like a Rem 81 stock.
If you have an old one, I will make you one on my duplicator.

Bill/OregonActually, this thing is probably too hopeless even for a duplicator. Gentlemen, shield your eyes first:
