| Is the ejector there? Swing open the little box on rear left side of the receiver and see if there is first, an ejector, and second, spring tension. Pull the bolt to the rear and look to see if the ejector is sticking out of the bolt head.
The ejector, under spring tension, rides along the bolts body and swings into the groove in the bolt lug and pushes the cartridge case from the extractor as the bolt comes to a stop. See if this is happening. |

| I'll assume it worked fine before the installation of the safety and the trigger.....and if that's the case then something is preventing the bolt from being pulled back to it's bolt stop. It's not likely the safety I might add. There is also the possibility that in the process of working on the action the ejector found in the bolt stop mechanism was not put back in.....check to see that it's there. It's difficult to understand why the trigger would interfere but anything can happen.....most likely the ejector piece in the bolt stop is missing.

Pull the bolt stop screw and remove the assembly and have a look at it. You might have a slightly bent ejector, and the act of pushing the bolt forward might be causing the two to align. Look throught the ejection port and watch to see what happens as you pull the bolt back. See if you can determine if there is any alignment problems between the two. You just need to find out where it is hanging up. |

| Just a thought, but since installing the new safety involves allot of inserting and removing the bolt to check fitting and operation your smith may have removed the bolt stop assembly and got something out of whack when he re-installed it. |

| if the extractor is not right, an action will act just as you describe. Maybe he did not put the same extractor back on your gun or something? Much of a Mauser's ejection problems are extractor-related. |

| If you have any other Mausers handy, swap out the bolt stop and see if ejection is any easier. If so, do a side to side comparison with the one that works and the one that does not and make any necessary adjustments.
