Hawkins,
I had a case of the rings that I acquired with a lot of other stuff. I believe that I gave them to David Christman. I will get you David.s contact if you like.

hawkins,

Your Stith should take 26mm rimgs. Leupold made 26mm rings in their STD and QR lines until quite recently, so you should be able to find some on Ebay or perhaps old stock on dealers' shelves.

Most European mount systems such as EAW are also available in 26mm.

Hawkins,
I called David and he said he didn't have them. They are not in my ring and base drawer. I did find a Stith box and all it had was screws. The box that I am looking for had about 10 sets of rings and they were individually wrapped in thin plastic paper. I will look closer tonight. I just can't remember SW#*t.

Lap out .020" with lapping compound and a lapping bar?

By the time he got done he'd have forearms like Popeye and his lapping bar would be down to 3/4"

Put a piece of crs in the lathe and turn a section about 1" long to 1.000......clamp the ring to the 1.000 section leaving half the ring exposed and bore half the ring to 26mm.....then the other ring

Then turn a section of the CRS stock ti 26mm and clamp the ring to that section so you can bore the back half.....

Now lap the rings to smooth them and you should have 26 mm rings.....worth it?.....be your own judge!
