Even though the shipping date of the LH LAs is yet to be determined, I am taking comfort that today I am 24 hours closer to receiving mine. I have got to get that barrel ordered...

Hey Rootbeer,
Don't know which of us is first, but whoever is second will just have to drool and congratulate the other. I even ordered two of these! [Big Grin]

prof242:

I am Number 85. Mine is a long action in standard stainless. I ordered mine over the blower on April 23. It should be coming in about three weeks. Just tonight I spelled out in minute detail to Krieger what I wanted in a custom barrel contour. Now I've got to get my clinton together and get the stock going. I'm looking at the straight-line thumbhole from Richard's MicroFit or the Ross from Boyd's. This is fun stuff, this gun-building.

rootbeer,
I don't know that it will be delivered in three weeks, but we'll get them out to you guys as quickly as we can. Currently from what I understand they have put the first run of sample bolts into metal and they are currently running through Pinetree's Quality Control to check the dimensions. Once they have done their checking they will send them to us and we'll go over them again. I understand that they expect to do the receivers within the next couple of weeks. Keep your fingers crossed that all the dimensions are correct cause every time they have to rework the molds it adds a minimum of 3 weeks to the process.

Oh, the frustration! [Frown] Well, even if it is ready in three weeks the barrel I finally got ordered from Krieger won't be ready for about eight. Then it will have to be shipped to MRC for installation and all that entails. I am beginning to think this gun will make a nice Christmas present for me. No matter... Quality takes time and nothing worth the effort and expense was ever done in too big a hurry. Now we have to get that stock going...
