Can someone point me to an on-line article or book I can reference that will show a novice how to lighten the trigger pull on a Win M70 Laredo?

Powder man is correct in that the trigger is easy to adjust.I also have a Laredo in 7mm Rem with boss that shoots 162gr Amax like a house afire what caliber is both your Laredos?

I second Powderman's remarks. The trigger of the Model 70 is one of the easiest to adjust. All you need to do is have two little wrenches to fit the nuts on the shaft that has the spring. But loosening or tightening that nut, you decrease or increase the trigger pull. The second nut is a lock nut to hold the first one in place. This adjustment is one you can easily do yourself.

Thanks for the info ... I'll work on it. My Laredo is a 7mmRemMag. Anyone got any bughole load data they want to share?

What load are you using to get the 162AMAX to shoot so well? (case, primer, powder, etc)

Thanks for the info guys. It was extremely easy. I'd like to find an accurate load for my Laredo 7mmRemMag using Nosler 140BT bullets. Anyone got anything?

I plan to test some 139SSTs also. Lets sync up to see who finds a bughole load at the top end of the velocity range. I'm looking for a strong hunting load using 140 grain bullets ... shooting 50 - 500 yards at white tails. I took a white tail recently using the Nosler 140BT. At 175 yards, the bullet left quite a large exit wound. You could actually look down into the lung cavity. It looked as if you could easily drop a golf ball into the exit wound, and it would disappear. Not sure this is what I am looking for or not, but the deer dropped in its tracks. I plan to try the 139SST and the Sierra 140BT.

Mine is a .300 Win Mag. It likes the Sierra 175 grain MatchKing on 71.0 of IMR 4831, Federal Match primers (standard, not magnum), seated to 3.510 OAL. Same hole at 100 yards. ------------------
