Are the CZ 550(non-magnum) the same as large ring mauser actions in dimension and barrel diameter, thread and pitch?
Sorry for the stupid question but I may put a slightly heavier barrel on my CZ 550 and also want a different stock.

MLC we are out here but I have no idea if the actions are the same. I have been thinking about buying one of these in 762x39 but so far have not saved enough money yet. Good luck, maybe someone will have the answer for you.

No, they are not the same. The CZ550 has a metric thread vs the Mauser 98 of 1.10"x12 tpi.

Smithy, the cz in 7.62x39 is their model 527 not the 550. Two very different sized actions. that little 7.62x39 is a nice little rifle. I like mine.

Thanks for your help z1r, when I have the money I will look for a model 527 in 7.62x39. From the threads I have read the cz in this cal. is a fun rifle to own.
