Can anyone recommend a gunsmith who can flute a Ruger M77 .416 Rigby barrel, and return it within about 3 months. I have a friend who does not have Internet and wants his rifle fluted before he goes on a buffalo hunt in Namibia this July. Thanks for the help.
Call Karl Feldcamp of Kampfeld Customs. He flutes barrels and bolts. Straight flutes, spiral flutes, diamond flutes, round flutes, and square bottom flutes. Butch
I don't think he had my rifle more than 2 1/2 weeks
Just check with him. He has never missed a time estimate with me. If the barrel is to be reblued I believe he waits until he has several and runs a batch.

Don't know where you are located, but Hart gunsmithing in Nescopek PA. does fluting. I've never had a rifle fluted, but they do have a good reputation.
