I must be doing something wrong. How the heck do you get a seller to respond on that site? I have been trying to "ask seller a question" In the ask seller a question box, for several years and have never, never got a reply. Gunsamerica never replys either. Only if a seller actually posts his phone number on the add can I contact about a sale. How do you actually buy a rifle from that site. Seems like Guns America is a bad place to sell something because buyers cant even contact you.

You may need to check the filter on your incoming email address. Check your security settings to see if there is anything that would restrict incoming email. Do you get a notice from Gunsamerica that your email was sent?If you don't get that confirmation you can be sure it is an email problem.

I've had only about 20% of the sellers answer a question on Gunsamerica As usual just my $.02 Paul K

The reason is most of the guns are sold and if they tell you that they're afraind you'll report them so they will need to pay the fee. If they don't respond tell the site moderator you suspect it's sold...that will stir things up a bit. DB Bill aka Bill George

Guess that explains why the ones I like are always just sold. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

DB bill, I dont think thats the case , I inquire about guns that just get posted. Also there is no Moderator. Just a empty chair. I think you have a better chance of selling a rifle if you just leave it in a dark closet with a for sale sign on it that noone can see

GSP7, maybe they just don't like you. I sent off two questions in the last few weeks and got answers on both. One of the answers though said the gun was off the market but the ad was still on there.

I just tried to sell a gun on guns america recently.I had about 13-14 responses within about a week. I didn't realize this because the spam filter on my email sent them all to the spam folder. If one of them hadn't caqlled me this morning I would never have checked and thought maybe nobody liked me. I could easily be the security features on either your email or theirs.

If when you are on their site, it says email sent. That probably means their system is good. Since you don't get a confirmation on your email account, a filter is screening mail from their site to your mail.Pretty sure,I have seen that kind of thing before.

I've had hit or miss results. Some dealers are prompt and thorough in dealing with my questions. Others are just as GSP7 described. Thats too bad... Thay won't get my business. It would be nice if GA would expire the listings after they have been up after a fixed amount of time. That may keep the sellers a bit more straight.

It is sometime the spam filter. I had two rifles up there recently and didnt get any inquiries. One day when I was surfing my filter said it quarantined a email due to a virus,to go look at it,etc. When I did and looked through the other blocked messages half a dozen were from buyers with questions. I don't think people do not answer on purpose because all they have to do is to delete there add if they sell it. It is all based on the honor system. My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

I only purchased once on GA from a very reputable dealer and had great contact. I have asked maybe 15 others questions and had responses, usually within a day, from 14 I would guesss. I can only remember maybe one who did not respond and I wrote that off to the gun probably being sold. Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum

I think the key here is the lack of response from GA. When I post a question, the first response I always get is a confirmation email from GA. It contains such phrases as, "The whole world wants your money, so be careful and don't fall for these traps..." or something like that. It also has the phone number of the lister, and a link to a reverse phone number lookup site. GA advises you not to deal with anyone who lists a cell phone. A little later I get (usually) a response from the lister. After that, we communicate through email, rather than through the GA server. I think you might profitably look again at your filters - spam filter included. Some ISPs will assume GA is spam. And the question you post to GA initially isn't "email" as we think of it - it's a question posted to their server, so the fact your email works otherwise isn't relevant. Also, make sure you're actually filling in your email address correctly and clicking the "Click Only Once" button. OTOH, while I've always received a confirmation email from GA, I don't always get a response from listers - probably for the reasons listed above. You might try asking them for advice at support@gunsamerica.com. They aren't quick, but they do respond. Jaywalker

Its the spam filter. All mine go to my spam filter on my yahoo account. I just learn to live with it. You really need to call them for the best response. That said, there's a lot of flakey dealers on there who seem to have no idea if they even have the gun.
