After using my Sako last fall, hunting, i noticed it got real cruddy looking. I was wondering if there is anything you can use to keep it conditioned. Any info would be appreciated, thanks: Rick.

For the exterior, I just use plain-old Hoppe's solvent on a clean cloth, wipe away any reside, then finish with Birchwood Casey's Sheath. You can use an old tookbrush to get into corners, or bronze wool and solvent for minor rust spots, but other than that call it 'good'!

Don't use any abrasive means to clean the metal (Flitz, Scotch Brite pads, steel wood, etc.) or you'll alter the finish and end up with bright contrast areas.

For exterior stainless, I clean it with WD-40 and then condition it with Remington Teflon lubricant.
