Does anybody know what the barrel thread is on a Sako M591, and whether a Howa take off barrel off a short action is likely to fit? Both rifles are .308win

Regards,

Pete

Unfortunately I don't have positive info, but most Sako actions have english threads and the Howa I rebarreled (Vanguard) had metric threads.
Best guess would be, no.

I believe the Howa is an M26 1.5 and I was hoping the Finns might have used a metric as well..

The Sako is liable to be metric. But some were British Imperial. Need to pull the barrel and check it
