Let your gunsmith be your guide.....or call Chris at Pac-Nor and ask him. Easy to talk to and very reasonable + he can true-up your action and rebarrel it at a very nice price.....good work too.

Chris; I have one, and have yet to draw blood with it, but I really like it! I'm getting sub moa at 100 yards and just starting to load for it and so far I've pushed a 140 (My favorite) grain Sierra BT 3200fps! Go for it I think you'll be pleased.

The standard twist for the .270 is a 1-10 especeally if you are going to shoot 150 gr or heavier bullets. I have seen some 270 with a 1-12 but they shot nothing heavier than 130 gr bullets and used 26-28' barrels. I would stay with the 1-10 if it were mine you can't go wrong with that. George
