I have an option on a like new 700 SPS 7-08 for $400. Is this rifle (barrel & action) built any differently than any other Rem 700?

The website said something about "inexpensive" which can be scary coming from Remington. Thanks in advance!

All current 700's actions are the same. The only difference between models is material and finish. Also, the brand new models come with the new trigger. Other than that they are interchangeable.

Thanks. What would the difference in "material" be?

My understanding is the SPS is what the ADLs used to be. The finish is matte instead of polished blue.
