Have a rifle in my shop and the bolt stop/release/ ejector is broken

While the rifle is marked Parker Hale, it is a modified mauser design and this is the part that was modified. The screw holding the box on the left rear is retained by a screw from the side, the ejector blade is operated by a coil spring.

I have tried Gun Parts, and Gibbs Rifle Co. (out of business) Rife was imported by Precision Sports and their number has been discontinued.

Any help appreciated. Thanks David

So which part is the brooken one?...the ejector blade? The Spring? One of the two bolts (screws)?

If it is the ejector blade, it isn't too tough to make one from sheet stock with either a mill, or a file and a drill press. Then of course you'd need to harden and temper it......

If it is a special screw, almost anything can be found if you take the broken one to a local "screw/nut warehouse"...usually listed in the phone book under "fasteners". For springs, if you can't make it yourself (see any good gunsmithing book), then Brownell's sells spring stock.

The broken piece is a one piece part with the bade ejector mounted on a cylinder with the oposite end having a recess for the spring. the cylinder acts as the fulcum for the ejector to rotate,

I suspect that you have a PH Midland. Is it a mauser looking action with a springfield bolt? If so I may be able to help. Mark
