You shoot a 26" barrel on your 9.3 right. How much more vel do get with a 26" over say a 23.5"?
Also would a 28" barrel give you anymore of a good thing? What is your favorite barrel maker, and would they charge a arm and a leg to put on iorn sites? Thanks Ray.

So far I apparantly get a substantial amount of velocity over a 23.5" barrel...

I get 2520 FPS with a 286 gr. Nosler; as much as 2650 FPS with a 250 gr. Nosler Bal. Tip or BarnesX, 2450 FPS with a 300 swift; 2400 with a 320 gr. Woodleigh RN...thats cooking IMO....and these loads are near max but seem fairly mild in my particular gun...All chronographed loads.

If I really want a long range load I just shoot the 230 gr. GS Custom HV at an estimated velocity of near 2850 or so...I have not chronographed this load but will soon.

I pick up from 75 to 125 FPS with my 26" barrel over a 24" barrel which came as somewhat of a surprise to me, but I have had several long tube 9.3's and they just handle the extra barrel length very well IMO....and the balance is out of this world...

I have settled on two powders for the 9.3x62 adn that is RL-15 and H414...

Sorry missed some of your posting...

I only use Loathar Walther these days, I have had better luck with them than any other barrel I have used...You would have to install your own iron sights or have a gunsmith do it and thats no big deal...

Thanks Ray. Have you ever had a 28" 9.3 or ever seen one?
