I have a new Ruger 77 in 6.5x55. My only complaint is that the brass isn't ejected very well. The "controlled feed" doesn't pick up the cartridge from the magazine. Instead it connects as it chambers. When the brass comes out it barely clears the action and sometimes, if I work the bolt more quickly, the brass actually reverses and stays in the action! Every once in a while the brass will fly out like I expect it to. Any suggestions? Bob257

Number one suggestion; send it back to Ruger. They have a wonderful warranty program

Agree, send it back. A phone call ahead of time seems to really get the ball rolling as well. I sent my 35 Whelen in and had it BACK, repaired in right at a week!! Just make sure to remove any aftermarket triggers you may have installed and replace with stock, because I have heard they have a bad habit of "fixing" light triggers.
