Undercoating
Just purchased a real nice 2013 Silverado with on 4500 miles on it so its like new. Old pickup rusted pretty bad on me, so I am thinking I should try to avoid that one this one.
Anybody here undercoated their pickup (not taken it to a dealer or business though) If so, what brand of undercoating did you use, and perhaps a bit about the procedures you used to insure a good job.

How about a roll on or spray on bedliner?

I think a good spray on bedliner like Rhinocoat is a great idea. But I honestly believe body rot has more to do with where you live.

My 1996 Dodge Ram has ZERO rust, was not garage kept and I was not the best at keeping it waxed.

We just don't have salt on the roads in Alaska.

Cheers
Jim

The spray on bed liners have some nasty chemicals in them - a word to the wise.
Some owners of large trucks spray the undersides with common soy oil used for cooking. That's redone once a year That will slow the rusting process noticeably

Oiling the bottom of your vehicle is pretty common in Britain.

Never seen that as an offering here. Not sure how it works.
