Just bought a 2010 GMC 4wd pick-up. After 12+ years of no car payments I took the plunge. Traded in my (summer time) '89 Buick and (winter ride) '96 Jimmy.

I'm now adding a number of things to the pick-up. I'm undecided on the spray-in bed liner. In this area I have dealers for Rhino, Line X, and Vortex.

Anybody got experience with these? Pro? Cons? I'll be keeping this vehicle a long time. And for the most part this vehicle will be pampered, driving me back and forth to work until hunting season. Then it becomes a 4WD.

I have had a Rhino and a Line X, but not a Vortex. I liked the Rhino the best, though both were good. The Line X seemed a little harder than the Rhino and didnt seem to "grip" as well; things slid around some. It was also slick when it was raining and resulted in an ass bust for me a time or two. Somebody told me that could have been an application problem and I should have taken it back to the installer. Never did, so I can't tell if was or not.
I'm about to put another in my new truck and it will be a Rhino.

Hope that helps.

Adam

I've looked at bed coatings on two occasions after a new truck purchase. For my use, the Rhino was best. If is soft enough to not allow objects to slide around while underway, but tough enough to resist scaring. I particularly liked Rhino because I could lay wood stocked fireams directly on it without fear of them getting scratched. I could not say that about the other products....

I can't comment, I like plastic liners. I considered rhino, etc but went for plastic on my trucks. The "sliding" feature is both a problem at times and a blessing at others. As someone who does much of his daily work alone, I find the ability to slide heavy things around on the bedliner to substantially outweigh the problems of things sliding around. YMMV. Plastic is cheaper and easily replaced, although I've never had to replace one, the trucks usually wear out first.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

I bought a new Cummins TD in April of 2004 when Dodge introduced the 325HP 600Ft/Lbs of torque package. The dealership threw in the Rhino lining. So, two months shy of six years ago and it still looks good. A few little chips, and no skid. The Rhino guys told me to bring it in every spring and they will touch it up, free!
Can't beat that.

I just had a Rhino spray on liner installed today in my Chevy - I had it a week and it was time. This is my 3rd truck with the Rhino liner.....my brother in law has a '95 GMC with it and it is still holding up fine.

I have both rhino and linex. I had to take the truck with the linex in to be re-done in less than a year, but the rhino is holding well with only a couple of small chips after 4 1/2yrs.

No experience with the vortex, but of these two, rhino gets my vote.

I used Herculiner on my Dodge 2500. It is easy to do yourself and costs less than $100. It has held up fine for 4 years so far, and I carry alot of shovels, rock bars, ect that are hard on a bedliner.

I used the raptor kit on the who interior of my jeep and it did a great job. Real professional looking. So good that the neighbor did his new ram pickup with it.
