He has a 2003 V6 4WD std trans. I hear 2nd hand he did a"cookie" on the freeway. blames something about the front driveshaft.

I have no idea of the velocity , pretty sure dry pavement, tires should be pretty good.

Any clues with this scant info?

Without checking it out I wonder if something locked up in the front diff or axle. A gal that used to be a neighbor moved down to Oklahoma with her new husband and bought a Monte Carlo that was a couple years old, and she was driving home from work one night and one of the front wheel bearings locked up and she rolled the car. What you are describing is very serious and he should have the car checked over by a qualified mechanic before he or someone else gets hurt bad.

Jeeps used to , at least , have an occasional problem where the front end seems to want to shake itself to death !
First time it happened I knew nothing of that problem ! A number of different causes but it needs a good mechanic to sort things out.

I think the death wobble is only for solid front axle models.

I did look it up and tend to agree. At least nothing was mentioned to me about a shimmy..etc.

Without some more in depth information, I told him to take it to a pro and I'll pay..that should put everyone at ease.
