Although $8500 sounds a bit high, the 12 valve engines had far fewer problems than the 24 valve with all of the electrical problems.
I have a 99 that I bought a couple years back for $11,400 with 121,000 on the clock.
Go to Dodgeresourses.com and look around there.
I ran across an article a while back, written by a guy who hauled Airstream trailers out of central Ohio and got over a million miles out the motor before the head gasket started leaking. Prior to that he put an injection pump on it at around 700,000 and a couple of clutches and twice on the trannies(5spds)
The early automatics were junk. They tried using the 727 and they didn't like the torque change.
I had a neighbor who bought one of the first ones and it was in the shop more than in his driveway, all trans. problems.
If it's a 5spd, i'd say go for it.

how accurate are bb values
i know bb value on a winchester rifle a one in one thousand lists for around 75 thousand
that same rifle sold at auction for six hundred and twenty five thousand
bb values mean absolutely nothing
supply and demand determine actual value

bb probably cant find another truck like this one to compare it to
without comparisions bb does not have the ability to put an accuratr value on anything
i could also put this truck to work next week making $2,000.00 per day
i feel its too nice a truck to do that to

also im not comparing rare gun sales to data collected for selling cars
what im saying is the bb on vehicles may not be accurate where they sell or not has no bearing because some are rare
the bb on guns is compiled through normal sales not auctions so they become not accurate

$8500 for a 93 4x4 with less than 200k miles

GO FOR IT!!

I have a early 04. I wish I had the cash for a 1st gen in that condition! What is the interior like? Got any rust? Need any work? What kind of tranny? Swap in a NV5600 and go! What is the axle ratio? 3.07 was one of the ones available in 1st gens and the mileage is fantastic. Second shift supervisor has one and it is awesome! If it is a dreaded 53 block don't worry...there is a fix for that now.
