At work there a polaris fourwheeler 4WD. Just the frame, the motor, and 3 tires. Is there a site where I could find all the missing pieces. And would it be worth building, I could probuly get a cheap used one somewhere. Thought I'd ask first, I could get it for free.

Grizzly AdamsDon't want to discourage you, LOL, but I've got an ongoing project here, in a 93 Yamaha. Bought it, because I use it very little and thought it would do me, but by the time all is said and done, I'll probably have enough money in it, to buy a lot newer, better machine. Check out parts prices. Just ridiculous.

mstarlingMight be better to acquire the pieces if free, and then either use them to support an newer machine or part them out to help pay for a newer complete machine.

kennedyI was thinking of go ahead and gettin it anyways. The driveline and stuff is still on also. I'll see.
As mentioned, the only thing I would consider doing with this is finding another machine and getting THIS one as a parts bike. If you can get it for free that is fine, I really wouldn't spend much money on it until you get something else actually purchased first.
The fact that it has already been picked over points to the fact that most of the stuff left is probably trashed.

ted friesjust two cents,
i worked in a couple dealerships on and off for 12 years and i can tell you a couple things that will help i hope.
the used market is tough! if you actually find parts that are affordable, they will prolly need work or repair. when you get all the supposedly great deals together and the little things you will need for assembly, you can be assured that the final cost will be greater then buying an already assembled machine.
this concerns any machine that you want to look at. unless your gonna do it as an act of love, and really want the fun and chalenge of doing this,,,,id run the oposite direction.
the machine you describe will prolly be good for parts as has been already suggested. maybe you will be able to help out someone who is stuck and broke with the same machine, however the chance that these parts will interchange with other models is slim as the factory's continue to upgrade and outdate machines as the new year comes every year.
good luck anyway you choose to go but weigh it out before you in way too deep...been there ...done that

griz78A Brokelaris?? That's what my father-in-law calls them. He has a little shop where he spends his retired time fixing ATVs and small engines. He'd call the one you described as one someone "took good care of". He's working on one now that at first glance looked like it came straight off the showroom floor. It's three weeks old and just stopped running.
