jeffeossonevermind - the CRITICAL part is the gear position shifter, and it's a single ball end snap .. the other is a testing point ... i got it running!

jeffeossothis one was running wicked rich ... fouling out plugs and stuff. .. i rebuilt the carb, it had a stage 1 kit in it, with about the largest jet i've seen on a 300 .. a 137.5 (138) .. i put it back, set the needle on TWO rather than three... and still too rich ...
SO, out she goes, and in goes a 126 main ..
seems to be much better, and left the needle at 2, not 3,
if any of that means anything to you.. on this AC, changing the jet is 20 mins, start to finish.. or off to start!

Rodney H.{500Jeffery}That did seem like a rather large jet for a 300 unless it has some other than normal stage 1 mods done to it. My 650R stage 1 kit calls for a 68s slow jet and 175 main jet. With correct stage 1 mods it produces 55 ponies at 7000rpm which is not bad. Factory jetting is 68 slow jet and 125 main jet. Rodney.
