gbaxHow big and how old?
A question to satisfy my curiosity
We saw this lone buffalo bull come past the lodge twice while we were on our honeymoon. I have never hunted buffalo and to me he looks big and old but I would be interested to know what people thought of it.
The best photo of him is at 1:41

gbaxThanks Faisal.
Would a bull of that age be considered a shooter?

faisalGbax the bull is a good mature shootable animal in my opinion but whether you shoot him or not would depend on the where you were hunting and how far into a hunt you were.

m'bogo3Hi all, first post here.
Any opinions on how much that bull would weigh?

surestrikeMaybe about 1600 lbs or so. Just a swag.
I think that bull is sub 36" more like 34".

larryshoresHe isn't particularly wide and doesn't have great curls. The picture isn't the best to judge from. The ears of a buff are generally 32-34 inches. With the brief glimpse at a proper angle, I would be surprised if he was over 36".

Yes a good shooter, just attach the bipod to the 404, good rest on the table, and wouldn't even need to change for the photo, could finish off my beer while the skinners did their job
