Might not be the right place to post this picture but this past spring I took my son, Jaxon, turkey hunting again. In the past it just did not work out where he was with me when I shot a tom. This year it happened and his eyes were as big as grapefruits. We were in a blind, he cannot sit still, and the turkey's came within 5 feet of the blind. It has to be the ugliest tom around, in regards to his fan, but it did not matter. After we sealed the deal and took a ton of trophy pics he was calling everyone that we knew to tell them he is a turkey hunter. I have to say that I was very proud that day and it had nothing to do with the size of the trophy. I guess I am writing this as Thanksgiving has just passed and I am so so thankful that I got to share that experience with my youngster.

Great pictures of a thrilled youngster. I suspect he will be ready to go again. ALLEN W. That is the land of lost content, I see it shining plain, The happy highways where I went And cannot come again. A. E. Housman

He is ready to go again for sure. I have promised him that if he holds up his part of the bargain that I will take him to Africa when he graduates. That is a long ways down the road and lots of things can happen but that is the long term goal. I am curious to see if my daughter becomes a huntress. She likes purple and pink camo but wants to roll around in the dirt, mud and blood.
